Mrs Wobble The Waitress

December 2009
Dining out can be a perilous business when Mrs Wobble is around – you could end up with more on your plate (or your lap!) than you bargained for! You might see a sausage ‘roll’, a salad ‘tossed’ or even a customer with egg on his face! One of the theatre’s most popular shows, Mrs Wobble came rolling back to Theatre Peckham with a show stuffed full of music, dance, thrills and spills for all the family.

From the original picture book by Janet and Allen Ahlberg
Adapted and directed by Teresa Early with original music by Roger Goslyn

Bye Bye Baby

One of Theatre Peckham’s most successful productions for very young audiences was revived in the Summer, adapted by Teresa Early from the classic picture book by Janet and Allan Ahlberg. Everyone Needs A Mummy ... so Baby sets off  on a ‘road journey’ to find his Mummy, and meets some new friends along the way!

Seven Cinderellas

Theatre Peckham’s annual Christmas show proved to be a riot this year when it took a look inside the wonderful world of the School Play.   From auditions to opening night, Seven Cinderellas was another original musical concoction of music, dance and sparky dialogue performed by Theatre Peckham students alongside professional actors which proved to be a credit-crunch busting sell-out!

The Storyteller’s Boy

The Storyteller’s Boy may be a lucky son – or maybe not? He’s just at that age when you stop being a kid – and you know what that’s like. Things can look quite different – what is happening to your friends? Even your mum and dad can start to seem like people you’ve never met before.
And the Storyteller? Well, let’s just say he never told anything like this one before!

The Storyteller’s BoyWith a cast of brilliant young performers from Theatre Peckham’s Theatre School, this fast and funny tale takes a fresh look at storytelling, introduces a wild bunch of characters, and fills the air with some seriously catchy tunes!

Kings of Temple Midden

A post- apocalyptic tale set in the English town of Temple Midden.

The story of the ‘Kings of Temple Midden’ looks at a future, seventy years on, which has been substantially altered by generations living today.

‘Kings’ takes a look at a group of teenage girls and boys who live as lifetime refugees. In their world, owing to man’s misuse, the environment is now experiencing the revenge of the natural world where flood and fire and explosions of waste materials have devastated the land.

But are the young people of the future any different from the youth of today? Has anything been learned from the past - have they learned how human behavior makes or breaks the world we live in?

For ages 12+

The hilarious family show that everyone will enjoy!

A delightful production based on the Happy Families series written by Allan Ahlberg. A hugely entertaining and witty story of a female Plumber, always ready to lend a helping hand. If you need a Plumber call for Mrs. Plug.
