Pointe Black: Overcome

23rd May and 25th May

About the show

Overcome is a powerful work exploring resilience, struggle, and the collective strength needed to rise through adversity. Through dynamic choreography blending classical ballet and musical storytelling, this piece also shines a light on untold stories of black historical figures whose courage and resistance continue to inspire.

Pointe Black is a London-based Black ballet company creating pathways for dancers of Black heritage through training, performance, and professional development. Our work blends classical ballet, contemporary movement, and Black cultural expression, creating a distinct movement language rooted in excellence, identity, and storytelling.
