God’s Gift

1st June - 2nd June

About the show

God’s Gift is a family drama spanning 4-generations, 2-timeframes and a school which hasn’t changed in 100-years. It explores the danger of deifying institutions that fail to protect and the courage needed to speak out.

In 1911, Shirley, a young man in a new country must find a way to assimilate into a system that doesn’t want him or risk alienation. In 2020, 17-year-old Ambrose confronts the reality of abuse within his school as he overcomes his fear of speaking up. His mother and Grandfather are blinded by their need for safety and must change or face the consequence of inaction.
