Afrobeats dance with Lulu Workshop (16+)

A fun, energetic and interactive session teaching popular Afrodance moves. Learn the names of the popular Afrodance moves, where they come from and learn a devised choreography that will be performed at the end of the summer programme.

Every Thursday from 6pm – 6.40pm

Workshop run by Olu Alatise

Olu Alatise is a Dance Artist, Creative director, Choreographer, Teacher, Mentor African Dance facilitator. With a colourful resume, showcasing her versatile creativity, impeccable choreography skills, impressive clientele and passion for mentoring dancers; Olu is breaking the boundaries of dance with inspiring morals, strong work ethic within her dancers. Her versatile body of work has allowed her to work with some of the best Hip Hop / Street dance choreographers in the UK and choreographing for world renowned Afrobeats artists. She has worked with Rihanna, Jason Derulo, Lethal B, Fuse ODG, SteffLon Don, Wizkid, Mr Eazi and more.

How it works

Register for the class. If you have siblings that want to join the same workshop, please ensure your register for each child separately. We will not be able to admit more than 1 child per registration.

We will send you a form to fill in and the Zoom ID and password 3 day before the start of the 1st workshop. Please fill this in at least 1 day before the start of the 1st workshop*.

Make sure you have a device with Zoom downloaded and ready to use.

On the day of the workshop, log into your Zoom from 5.58pm, input the meeting ID and password, turn off your audio and turn on your video camera and wait in the ‘waiting room’ until the host lets you in. Make sure you are there on time, the room will be locked at 6pm. 

*It is super important we have the form back as this is the only way you can gain entry online.

How to book

This workshop is free to attend but if you are able to, you can choose to pay what you wish and donate to Theatre Peckham.
You only need to register once for the full 4 week course.
