CAMPFIRE by Resident Company NO TABLE
Hey Theatre-goers!
We are TP’s Resident Company NO TABLE.
We’ve been busy all summer organizing and producing engaging events for TP and our local community!
Our most recent event was called CAMPFIRE.
CAMPFIRE was a scratch night showcasing some of South London’s best emerging talent at the heart of Peckham. The night was filled with games, prizes and DJ Conrad Kira rounding up the night with a full session of classic tunes throughout the evening.

We were fortunate to host the evening at Coffee & Cocktails (bar/cafe right across the street from Peckham Rye station) who were happy to support us as a new rising company. They even made us a signature drink called the Stiff Chocolate – check it out! This venue is a go-to for a chilled relaxed atmosphere and great drinks and hospitality.
The night ran with 5 amazing performers showcasing their talent with music, poetry and prose including critically acclaimed poet Yomi Sode who recently released his debut play, …and breathe at the Almeida which received rave reviews. You can preorder his most recent book Manorisms published under Penguin Random House and sold at leading distribution outlets. He performed alongside acts such as Lilo , Ouraa and performances from Mountview student Virginia Sirolli, a drama piece by Enoch Lwanga and our very own Britny Virginia, who shared some intimate poems from her new poetry book titled, So,I’ll Stay, Sitting With You. Intervals were led by DJ Conrad Kira who smashed the evening, bringing people together.
Our raffle prizes were all donated by local businesses! Check them out below.

Our 1st prize was donated by Dynamic Vines – They donated two bottles of 2015 “Cru-Elles”, Ludovic Englevin red wine! They are based locally, in Bermondsey. They import organic and biodynamic wines from small wine producers across Europe. You can find their wines in beautiful restaurants, on their online shop and in their shop opened on Saturdays on Spa Terminus market.

Our 2nd prize was donated by Brockley Brewery – they offered a 6 pack of assorted beers. They are locally based in Hither Green with a beer garden, offer affordable prices, and they DELIVER fresh beer at your door! They were founded in 2013 by 7 South East London locals and have strong ethics to partner with loads of charities, support local art and community events (like this one!), and source their energy 100% from renewable sources. Next time you’re looking for a place to hang with friends, try Brockley Brewery!
Our 3rd prize was donated by BOOKS in Peckham. They donated a bundle of 9 poetry zines by local artists! This local independent bookshop is a hub for local authors, with zines and secondhand books for you to buy and sell with affordable prices. They are open Thurs-Sun. If you are looking for a nice friendly bookshop, this is the place for you! Follow at @bookspeckham.
Our 4th prize was donated by SKN! A natural skincare line by a local creative, dancer and actress. Amelia established SKN in September 2020 after making her own skincare products for over 10 years. The brand uses only natural ingredients, and sources almost all its components from black-owned businesses. 20% of profits from each product are also donated to a chosen black charity. To find out more about this independent, female led, black owned business, follow @ameliarebeccaxo on Instagram & Twitter, or drop Amelia an email at ameliarstevenson@gmail.com.
Our last and final prize was donated by the one and only THEATRE PECKHAM for their show …cake. …cake is told through a Black queer femme lens that interrogates the meaning and function of love and self-worth in an exploitative climate of working-class London in the noughties. At its heart, the play examines performativity in relationships and how generational trauma can be inherited. Theatre Peckham’s associate director, malakaï sargeant, directed this play written by the Women’s Prize for Playwriting 2020 finalist, actor and poet babirye bukilwa. They graciously gave us two …cake tickets for our lucky raffle winner! Don’t hesitate to check out what other events happening now at Theatre Peckham and book your tickets for ..cake if you haven’t already.
Until next time!
Love and happiness,
