Over 400 young members, from 3-19 come to our Theatre Peckham Academy to learn, live and love performing arts.
Our members can learn drama, singing, musical theatre and dance and progress through performance training pathways, gain real qualifications and important skills which can support their journey into adult life. Those serious about being a performer can audition to be apprentices with the professional team in our famous musical theatre shows!
We have inspirational professional teachers, work with arts training bodies and organisations including the Royal National Theatre and Central School of Speech & Drama. All workshops are taught by Arts Industry Professionals and each child can join either for fun, take exams, perform in one of our shows, gain qualifications, and even become a tutors assistant.
We work closely with drama and dance schools for those wishing to enter the profession in adulthood.
Theatre Peckham’s general uniform consists of: Red Theatre Peckham T-Shirt (this comes free with the annual membership!) Black tracksuit bottoms or leggings/trousers you can move freely in – no jeans please! Trainers, plimsolls or jazz shoes.
At Theatre Peckham we are committed to providing a fun, friendly and safe learning environment for all involved and this relies on the cooperation, positive attitude and proper behaviour from all our members at all times. Any student deemed to be acting or behaving inappropriately will be dealt with according to Theatre Peckham’s Behaviour policy.
