TUTORS
Head of Dance Academy and Head of Y&T Dance Academy
Jazz trained at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance and holds a BA Honours Degree in performance Arts. Jazz has worked for many years as a professional dancer, also worked with Ballet Soul as assistant choreographer.
Co-lead Head of Music Production Academy
Donny has been working with Theatre Peckham since 2018 and has used his skills and knowledge to make sure our Young Music Producers students have the best opportunity to learn how to produce music and use the best equipment.
Head of SteelPan Project Academy
Jarred is a self-professed steelpan enthusiast with over 10 years of experience in the field. He is keen on encouraging and developing the next generation to become talented steelpan musicians promoting the instrument to reach wider audiences. Jarred is enthusiastic to start working with the Academy students.
Head of Musical Theatre, Glee Club and Acting Academy
After graduating in Music from Oxford University, Ben went into primary school teaching, to share his love of the performing arts with young people. Ben has composed for Young and Talented at the Bethnal Green branch, while also teaching singing classes there.
Head of Backstage Academy and Head of Y&T Acting Academy
With a background in devising physical theatre, Tanya began practising dance therapy and applying that to her teaching style. She enjoys all aspects of the Theatre World including prop making, set design and costumes.
Co-lead of Street Dance Academy
A former dancer of Olivier award-winning company Boy Blue Entertainment, one of the UK’s leading Hip-hop Dance Companies, Alisha trained at The Northern School of Contemporary Dance and then went on to attend The London Studio Centre where she received a BA Hons in Musical Theatre from one of the UK’s leading conservatoires of dance.
Head of Y&T Singing Academy and Acting, Musical Theatre and Glee Pop Assistant
Charlie teaches singing and song-writing as part of the Young & Talented Theatre Creators at Theatre Peckham. Charlie is a Northern Irish artist who, since leaving East 15 Acting School, has performed on and off the West End as an actor and musician.
ASSISTANTS
Assistant of SteelPan Project Academy
Kim is an Artist, Singer, Songwriter and Music Producer with a Master’s in Commercial Songwriting & Production. She has studied, created and performed music for over 20 years and is currently working with a wide range of upcoming artists in the industry.
Assistant of Y&T Dance Academy and Saturday Ballet Academy
Sapphire is an enthusiastic Gap year student in love with all things movement. She practised gymnastics professionally for 10 years and competed internationally twice. She was chosen to take part in the televised ‘Night of the stars’ which celebrated all things talent and ability in the world of Gymnastics and dance.
Assistant of Acting Academy and Y&T Acting Academy
Joe has been at Theatre Peckham for 10 years. He started doing dance and acting classes and then moved on to doing professional shows. And he hopes to pass down the knowledge that he has learnt, through teaching others.
Y&T Singing Academy Assistant
Ayshe’s acting journey began at Theatre Peckham when she was 4 years old. She has been involved in performing arts ever since, with acting as her main focus. In July 2019 she started at the Brit School to study theatre.
Assistant of Ballet, Acro and Tap Academy
Joeley began to dance at the age of three. From 14 she trained at Tring Park School for the Performing Arts and obtained a DipHe in Professional Dance from Trinity Laban in 2021. She’s excited to work with the talented children of the academy and help ignite the same passion!
