This Black History Month, Young, Gifted & Black* amplifies the brilliance of emerging Black poets. Highlighting heritage, resilience, and creativity, we celebrate the voices shaping the future while uplifting the legacy of those before. Experience powerful verse rooted in pride, identity, and the unshakable strength of historical figures. We welcome poets from all backgrounds to join us in celebrating our communities and culture.
*Young, Gifted & Black is Theatre Peckham’s annual celebration of Young Black British Brilliance, a platform for powerful, personal and political work that reflects the richness of Black British life and culture. While the season highlights Black talent, we know identity takes many forms.
Limited free tickets available. Doors open at 6.30 pm, event is 7.00 pm – 9.30 pm and open mic sign up is available on the door.
