Spanish Theatre Festival FesTeLõn 2026 presents Trees Don’t Vote (Los Arboles no Votan).

A regional president is desperate for an electoral game changer. Her advisor and a businessman offer the ideal campaign pledge: a decarbonisation plant that claims to save the planet by removing CO₂ from the air. The answer to climate change! There’s just one catch: it doesn’t work. Confess the failure—or sell the fiction to the voters? Which matters more: the planet, or the story told about it?

Trees Don’t Vote is a sharp political comedy—both unsettling and familiar—that satirises greenwashing, political spin, and the lies justified in the name of the common good. Ready to laugh—and leave furious?
