Spoken Word Theatre Workshop (17-29YRS)

What is the Spoken Word Theatre Workshop?

Led by our talented Cultural Leaders these enriching weekly workshops focus on spoken word and poetry. Through a dynamic and collaborative process, participants write and develop their own poetry for and learn performance skills to support their confidence and stage presence.

The workshops are youth-led as a way of providing a space where young people can express different aspects of their individual and shared identities. The workshops culminate in the creation of a live production, showcasing the creativity and passion of young artists.

The Spoken Word Theatre Workshop is deliverer in collaboration with Poetic Unity and Black Cultural Archives as part of the Poetic Relief Project: A project that provides programmes and services to support young people’s well-being, personal development, and community cohesion. The Poetic Relief Project is supported by The National Lottery Community Fund.
