Spoken Identity Workshops (16+)
The workshops will focus around introducing Spoken Word as an art form to express different aspects of our individual and shared identities. If you have tried Spoken Word before or are completely new to it, by the end of the 4 weeks sessions you will have learnt new skills to help you feel more confident in presenting your own ideas, emotions and perceptions of life through the use of Spoken Word.
Every Tuesday from 5pm – 5.40pm

Workshop run by Jayda David
Jayda David is a Spoken Word artist and Poet from London. After a year of being on the spoken word scene, Jayda has won a Black British history competition and performed on London Live and BBC Radio 5. Outside of poetry, Jayda works as a tutor and youth mentor and she enjoys being able to combine her love of teaching with her love of spoken word and poetry.

How it works
Register for the class. If you have siblings that want to join the same workshop, please ensure your register for each child separately. We will not be able to admit more than 1 child per registration.
We will send you a form to fill in and the Zoom ID and password 3 day before the start of the 1st workshop. Please fill this in at least 1 day before the start of the 1st workshop*.
Make sure you have a device with Zoom downloaded and ready to use.
On the day of the workshop, log into your Zoom from 4.58pm, input the meeting ID and password, turn off your audio and turn on your video camera and wait in the ‘waiting room’ until the host lets you in. Make sure you are there on time, the room will be locked at 5pm.
*It is super important we have the form back as this is the only way you can gain entry online.
How to book
This workshop is free to attend but if you are able to, you can choose to pay what you wish and donate to Theatre Peckham.
You only need to register once for the full 4 week course.
