Street Dance Workshop (5 – 7)

These sessions are tailored to create a safe environment for all the children to excel within the genre of street dance. 4 fun high energy sessions to keep the children active and engaged. The tutor will use a range of current music with the aim for the children to continue and practice these dance routines in their own time and at their own pace. We look at the basic fundamentals of dance such as listening, accuracy of movements, rhythm whilst keeping it fun and interactive.

Every Thursday from 4pm – 4.40pm

Workshop run by Alisha Thompson

Alisha is a London based dancer, teacher and choreographer. She is a graduate from London Studio Centre and former dancer of an Olivier award winning company Boy Blue Entertainment. She has travelled worldwide both touring and training and has completed three US Tours as dance captain. Some of her credits include: Nike, Puma, Chanel, Tik Tok, The o2 Arena, Stefflon Don, FKA Twigs, Rina Sawayama. Alisha has taught at numerous dance schools and currently has her own class at the world renowned Pineapple Dance Studios. Alisha loves to teach and inspire the younger generation fully equipping them with what they need to become great skill full dancers.

How it works

Register for the class. If you have siblings that want to join the same workshop, please ensure your register for each child separately. We will not be able to admit more than 1 child per registration.

We will send you a form to fill in and the Zoom ID and password 3 day before the start of the 1st workshop. Please fill this in at least 1 day before the start of the 1st workshop*.

Make sure you have a device with Zoom downloaded and ready to use.

On the day of the workshop, log into your Zoom from 3.58pm, input the meeting ID and password, turn off your audio and turn on your video camera and wait in the ‘waiting room’ until the host lets you in. Make sure you are there on time, the room will be locked at 4pm. 

*It is super important we have the form back as this is the only way you can gain entry online.

How to book

This workshop is free to attend but if you are able to, you can choose to pay what you wish and donate to Theatre Peckham.
You only need to register once for the full 4 week course.
