Chair of the Board of Trustees

The new Chair, will be part of an exciting journey which builds on Theatre Peckham’s reputation for championing artistic excellence and social change. This is a volunteer role and we are looking for an individual with the experience to lead an inclusive team which encourages learning and training. It is also a public role; the Chair will have the diplomatic skills and experience to build relationships with senior figures and stakeholder bodies. Our new Chair will play a key role in the development of our network of corporate and individual supporters and actively support the creative development of young people.

Associate Director

£26,500- £28,000
21 hours per week (excluding unpaid breaks)

The Associate Director will facilitate and enable the creation and presentation of innovative work and support the Artistic Director to embed the artistic policy. Theatre Peckham champions a festival approach to programming, attracting the widest range of audiences and participants through a broad offer. This role will lead on programming our two seasons; Young Gifted and Black and Peckham Previews, work with the local community to manage the Undercroft artists’ incubator space on Sceaux Gardens estate and lead on our Young Peckham programme to support emerging artists aged 17-25.

Backstage Academy Tutor

Freelance, £30/hour

At Theatre Peckham we are committed to the development of young people, our Backstage Academy will cover areas in prop and costume making and Technical Theatre: lights, sound and backstage. The young people will work with professionals from the industry to enhance their talents, learn new things, build up their network of contacts and become their best version of themselves.

The Backstage Academy Tutor’s role is to work with young people to enrich their learning and skills, support and nurture their development and create a safe environment for the young people to express their creativity.

Casual Duty Manager

Casual, £12.20 p/hour

As casual duty manager you will be responsible for Operations during events and shows, to make sure all runs smoothly and safely. You will be in charge of closing up, alarming, and locking the building at the end of the shift. Mostly consists of evening work, you will lead on Front of House, bar and overall building management, to provide a warm, friendly and professional welcome to all audience and event attendees.
