Theatre Peckham is a Southwark Business Resilience Awards 2021 Finalist

We’re delighted to be a Southwark Business Resilience Awards 2021 Finalist in the category of Business Commitment to Education, Training and Skills.
Upskilling, reskilling, providing employment and training is now more vital than ever as the economy adapts to the pandemic. This category recognises employers who have created jobs and training opportunities throughout the pandemic and continue to do so, supporting the borough’s bounce-back from COVID-19.
As a direct result of Covid-19, with an anticipated loss of income of £264k, Theatre Peckham shifted its entire staff team to online working using cloud-based services, embraced new technology, postponed all face-to-face activity, and delivered essential grassroots community engagement online with a skeleton staff and volunteers. With the need to re-open safely and offer low-cost access to the arts to a local community which is particularly vulnerable in the current environment we brought staff back from furlough & continued to recruit in order to achieve our vision. We recruited 6 core team, 10 as part of the Kickstart programme and 1 Jack Petchey Foundation apprentice.
Please vote for Theatre Peckham – we would be delighted to win this Award.
